Saltbox home of the first minister, and the man for whom the Town of Dennis is named. Artifacts of early town life, children's room, spinning and weaving exhibit, gardens and maritime wing. A one room schoolhouse is on the property. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
2026 Schedule - Open June 27 to Aug. 29 on Thurs. & Sat. from 1 to 4 pm. All Saturdays in September, 1 to 4 pm. Closed July 4th. Special Events listed in the 2026 Calendar will also be publicized via our posters, emails, newsletter and website. No admission fee, donations are always appreciated! Private tours, 5 or more @ $5 per person may be reserved.

Join us as we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary in the home of Josiah Dennis for whom our town was named. Costumed docents welcome you as you return to the 1700s in a house that stood in this location during the War for Independence.

Soldiers & Sailors, Patriots of the American Revolution. Join us at the home of the East Precinct of Yarmouth's first minister, Josiah Dennis, for whom the town was named and learn about those from the East Precinct who served their country in its time of need!
