Saltbox home of the first minister, and the man for whom the Town of Dennis is named. Artifacts of early town life, children's room, spinning and weaving exhibit, gardens and maritime wing. A one room schoolhouse is on the property. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
2024 Schedule -
Open June 29th to September 24th on Thursdays 1 pm to 4 pm and Saturdays 1 pm to 4 pm. Closed on July 4th.
Special Events will be publicized via posters, emails, DHS Newsletter, the Home Page of this website,
and they appear in the 2024 DHS Calendar.

The summer season commences with "A Woven Coverlet & Silk Rug Display".
Experience a taste of life in 18th century American and see the home of our
first minister for whom the Town of Dennis is named. Docents in period costumes add the ambiance.

July 19, 2025

The Josiah Dennis Manse Museum presents a special exhibit -
"A Display of its Red Ware Collection". Come and visit the 17th century home
of our first minister. When the Town of Dennis was incorporated in 1793, it was
Rev. Josiah Dennis for whom the town was named.
